All Saints' takes its responsibility to young people and adults who are or may be vulnerable very seriously and has a full set of policies and procedures in place to ensure everyone is safe and secure. You can read a summary of the key principles here. Fuller information can be obtained from Jo, our vicar (contact details on the right) or Mr Andrew Povey-Richards, our Parish Safeguarding Officer (contact details below).
This has some practical implications for how we work:
- All people who act in a supervisory capacity have been DBS checked to the enhanced level.
- All children/vulnerable adults must be properly delivered and collected from the church and 'handed over' into the care of a supervising adult. We must know who will collect them.
- We must have name, address, date of birth and at least one contact number in case of emergency.
- For anyone with a known medical condition, we must be aware of this and what action we are/are not to take.
