All Saints Art
All Saints Art has now been running for over fifteen years and continues to flourish. We currently have a regular membership of 12 people who meet from 7.30pm to 9.30pm each Thursday evening in the meeting room at the back of the Church. Visits normally start at 7.00 pm to maximise the available light.
We are a lively, all-ability group ranging from people who claim never to have drawn anything in their lives, to those with slightly more experience, and we all help, encourage and learn from each other as we go along.
Our Spring term will start on January 11th and runs for 11 weeks up to Passiontide. The full programme is:
| Jan 11th | Paint a snowy scene. I will bring Xmas cards with snowy scenes. Look what ones you have. Use any medium |
| 18th | Bring a calendar picture. There will be some available for those without. |
| 25th | Drawing each other. Each take a turn at sitting for the group for 10 minutes. Pencil sketches |
| Feb 1st | Self portraits with a mirror – any medium. Bring a mirror if you can. There will be a few spare. No Nick |
| 8th | Signs of Spring – catkins, snowdrops, primroses, sticky buds and more All try and find something if you can. Watercolours. |
| 15th | Still Life: different shaped pots on a patterned backgroumd Any Medium. No Nick |
| 22nd | Choose your own subject and medium. School half term |
| 29th | Kit will be provided for Mosaics. Bring a design |
| March 7th | Scraperboard – bring a picture to copy or an idea Board and tools provided. |
| 14th | Spring Flowers; daffodils, and more! Bring what you can. Bring your choice of paints |
| 21st | Finishing any work of the term |
Although almost full to capacity we always welcome new members, so if you feel you would like to come along and try your hand at some artwork and enjoy a very pleasant and relaxing evening too please call Gillian Harman (Tel: 01992 422042).
